Craig has practiced law for over twenty (20) years. He practices general civil litigation with specialization in insurance defense, premises liability, commercial/common carrier litigation, bad faith litigation, business/commercial litigation, construction litigation, medical malpractice, insurance coverage, product liability and workers’ compensation. He serves as state-wide counsel for numerous large and small insurance companies as well as many private corporations. In addition, Craig also maintains a corporate and business litigation practice. Craig is admitted in state and federal courts located throughout Georgia including Federal District Courts, the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, Georgia Supreme Court and Georgia Court of Appeals. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Defense Research Institute and Georgia Defense Lawyers Association.
Craig is also a member of the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association where he serves on its Automobile Liability and Premises Liability Committees. He is also one of the handful of Georgia attorneys invited to be a member of the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance (formerly known as the Council on Ethical Billing).
As part of his law practice, Craig is actively involved in presenting seminars to his clients in an effort to keep them apprised of new developments in Georgia law on a wide range of topics including insurer bad faith, risk management, claim investigation, insurance coverage, trial practice and workers compensation issues. He has been approved by the Georgia Insurance Commissioner’s Office to provide continuing education seminars to insurance adjusters for credit.
Craig has substantial experience in and routinely litigates high exposure matters including wrongful death, product liability, catastrophic injury and high value property loss claims. As part of his business/corporate practice, Craig has vast experience with various business entities including corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and limited liability partnerships. He regularly engages in the drafting and review of various contracts, including but not limited to, operating agreements, franchise agreements, licensing agreements, non-compete agreements, vendor agreements and confidentiality agreements for a wide range of clients from smaller local concerns to nationally recognized companies. As a litigator, Craig recognizes that business disputes are most often won by the meticulous drafting of agreements so as to avoid disputes in the first place. Should litigation become necessary, Craig is well versed in exploiting the advantages he has provided to his clients through proper drafting of the original contract.
In addition, Craig has substantial experience in workers compensation, collections, construction defect, first and third party coverage and medical malpractice. Over the over twenty years he has been in practice, Craig has litigated hundreds of cases to his clients’ satisfaction.
